Driver jailed for impregnating class 5 pupil

A 29-year old driver, Ernest Ogbordjor is to serve seven years in prison for impregnating a 15-year-old class five pupil.

ASP Enyonam Klu told Tema Circuit Court ‘A’ that the accused in February this year on several occasions had sexual intercourse with the victim at a time her mother had travelled.

In March, the girl's mother, Diana Tetteh was informed that the victim was seriously ill.

She returned home and sent the victim to the hospital and checks indicated that the victim got pregnant.

The matter was reported to Ashaiman DOVVSU and the accused was arrested and arraigned before court.

He pleaded guilty to the charges causing her honour Lydia Osei Marfo who presided over the court to sentence him to seven years inprisonment.
