Dragons and white walkers aside, Game of Thrones has real science even in some of the most fantastical elements of the show. For example, 20,000 years ago, North America looked like a real-life Long Night, where ice sheets covered most of Canada and parts of the US. Meanwhile, while you couldn’t really kill with a poison kiss, the Long Farewell poison used by Cersei and Ellaria Sand acts an awful lot like the venom from a sand viper.
