Your hands can pick up a few million germs from the world around you. But hand washing only became standard practice in hospitals in the 1840s. So what if you just stopped washing your hands? Well, you might become exposed to a number of viruses, from respiratory viruses like the influenza virus to norovirus, a severe stomach bug. But if you keep not washing, you might end up with even worse illnesses. Here's what would happen if you stopped washing your hands forever.
