Ghanaians mourn rising female artiste killed in gory road crash

Born on February 16, 1997, the artiste whose songs have been popular over the past two years was only a week shy of her 21st birthday.

The rising dancehall and Afrobeats artist Ebony Reigns was returning from Sunyani, the capital of the Brong Ahafo Region when her car crashed into a bus killing her, a friend and a security man. Her driver is reported to be unconscious

According to the Police in the town of Mankranso in the Ashanti region, the Jeep she was traveling in run into a popular mass transport, the VIP bus.

“Three of them passed on, even the driver. Now the bodies are at Mankranso. We have a morgue here so we have deposited the bodies over here”.

She had been a favourite to be named singer of the year at the upcoming Ghana Music Awards, and her death has left fans shocked.

On social media, users have begun posting their condolences.
