Kwame Nsiah-Apau, popularly known as Okyeame Kwame, a Ghanaian rapper and Artiste of the Year at the 2009 Ghana Music Awards is one of the few Ghanaians rappers who has managed to stay relevant over the years.

Mr. Versatile, as he is fondly called in the entertainment space, has a unique blend of indigenous and western influences and fashion style and is reported to have a huge net worth

The Ghanaian rapper is well known for his sense of fashion which is an added trademark to his raps.   He won the Male Celebrity Fashion Icon of the Year at the Ghana Fashion Awards in 2016.

Philanthropy

Okyeame Kwame founded the Okyeame Kwame Foundation in 2009 to raise public awareness on hepatitis B and to provide screening, prevention and education to mitigate the disease in Ghana, with support from MTN Ghana and the MDS-Lancet Laboratories. Periodic screening and vaccination campaigns are held throughout Ghana, attended by hundreds of people who receive free vaccines.

In 2014, he staged the Celebrity Car Wash, an event including sports, games and photoshoots with celebrities in East Legon, to raise funds in support of his campaign to provide free vaccination to at least 1000 Ghanaians

He was later appointed Hepatitis B Ambassador for the Ghana Health Service.

In 2017, he received a United States Presidential Volunteer Service Award for his outstanding humanitarian effort.

Family

Okyeame Kwame spends considerable amount of his wealth to make his family happy by sponsoring family events and outings.

He recently featured in a music by his son who is also a rapper.
