Private jet ownership is soaring in these African countries [Chart]
While most of us consider a day without long airport queues a successful travel day,rich people in Africa are travelling in the height of style.
Africa's business aviation market is expected to grow significantly. In 2012, there were between 400 and 600 business jets in Africa, say experts.
Despite their exorbitant price tags (a Gulfstream 450 costs about $41 million), luxury jet registrations have been soaring to new heights across the globe, according to Knight Frank's 2017 Wealth Report.
In 2012, an official of Bombardier, the Canadian aircraft manufacturer, said Nigeria ranked behind the United States, United Kingdom, and China among countries that top their orders for the supply of the aircraft type.
However, in 2016 Nigeria has fallen out of that elite company but is still a dominant player on the continent.
