These women stretch their lips to attract husbands
The lip discs are made out of hard clay ranging from 7 to 13cm in diameters.

Some stretch it for three years to get the shape they want.
According to the Guinness Book of Records, the previous record for a lip-disc is 15cm in diameter.
But why this practice?

They are worn by women in other to attract husbands.
It is believed that the larger the lip, the larger the dowry, which is usually cattle.
It is reported that a woman with a large disc could get as many as 50 cattle as dowry.
