UDS female student butchered by suspected armed robbers

A level 100 student of the Faculty of Integrated Development Studies (IDS) of the University for Development Studies (UDS) Kalid Zenab has been attacked by armed men believed to be robbers.

The victim who is currently battling for her life at the Wa Regional Government Hospital in the Upper West Region, suffered several cutlass wounds visited on her by the unknown assailants who tried robbing her of her belongings.

They however succeeded in making away with her purse containing unspecified money and some ID cards.

A colleague of the victim Kwasi Osman said the lady was attacked at about 11:00 pm last night and left in a pool of blood while returning from a birthday party of a friend.

Students of UDS Wa campus, told sister website ultimate1069.com that they’ve been grappling with unwarranted attacks by criminals who either snatch their laptops and motorbikes at gun points on campus or on their way home from lectures.

The situation, according to them has seen little or no change, despite police intervention leaving them at the mercy of these bandits.

“We are not safe in the town at all”, they lamented.

The incident has since been reported to the Upper West regional police.
