Elite Boston school sues 'fake' counterpart

Commonwealth School, an exclusive private school in Boston is suing another school for allegedly deceptively using the name Commonwealth Academy.

According to the management of the school, the Commonwealth Academy, which is a more affordable school for economically challenged students is trying to portray itself as their cheaper counterpart.

The management of Commonwealth School in Boston has therefore filed a $ 2million lawsuit against the Academy school pleading the Judge to force them to change its name.

They continued to explain that the yearly tuition and fees at the Commonwealth School in Boston is $40,000 whereas at Springfield’s Commonwealth Academy, about 90 miles away, annual average tuition is less than $1,200.
