The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) will Thursday 15, 2015, begin a strike to demand unpaid salaries and allowances from government.
An ultimatum to government by the association and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers postponed a planned strike to enable government to deal with some administrative challenges.

The Association has threatened to embark on strike if government fails to meet the deadline for the payment of the arrears.

Communications Director for the Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ayiquaye Awule said they are tired of the promise and fail from the government.
“Government will always renege on its promises but this time round, we have decided that we are not going to listen to anybody.

“We have realised that the stands is the same; they said they were waiting for the finance minister, who had traveled, now he has returned and nothing has changed,” he stated.
