Ghanaian musician, A Plus has indicated that his songs are not released without being scrutinised by intellectuals.

Speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz on Tuesday, A Plus said his works go through the hands of learned figures for scrutiny in order to get them shaped for his targets.

He revealed that his yet to be released song, “Yesterday’s Today’s Tomorrow” has issues that are controversial and would want to make sure that he does not offend too many people.

“It is true intellectuals go through my songs before they are released. It has taken me six years to write this song because I’m putting two hundred years in six minutes. It’s not the everyday Ghana music. It’s a song which will be understood by anyone who understands international politics,” he noted.

Known in real life as Kwame Asare Obeng, A Plus after his usual musical hiatus is set to release “Yesterday’s Today’s Tomorrow” on April 4.

According to him, he has been off the music scene not because he was on break but was concentrating on how to make the song better.

“It’s not a break. It takes a long time to compose such songs. I won’t say it’s very easy for me to do; this took a long time. Too much work went into it,” he said.

Adding: “In my last song, ‘Letter To The West’, there were certain issues I spoke about that some people were not happy with. The video was not shown on some channels because of copyright issues and some of the people I talked about in it. This time around, I have to make sure that everything I have said in the music and the image I will use won’t bring an issue so that the song can flow easily.”
