Shatta Wale, Charter House back in court on June 5

Charter House and its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Iyiola Ayoade on October 2, 2014 dragged the artiste to court for recording videos to defame the company.

The case involving Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale and event company, Charter House will continue in court on Friday, June 5, 2015.

This was disclosed by the head of brands, communications and media for Charter House, George Quaye, during an interview on Rainbow Radio in Accra.

“The case was originally supposed to be back in court on the 22nd of May but it has to be rescheduled since the judicial staff went on their strike, but the road is clear now for the action to continue from this Friday, 5th of June,” he noted.

Charter House and its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Iyiola Ayoade on October 2, 2014 dragged the artiste to court for recording videos to defame the company. A fast track high court in Accra upheld the case of interlocutory injunction brought by the company and its CEO against the artiste. The company, demanding GHC 10 million in damages from Shatta Wale, rejected an out of court settlement. The case had been adjourned for about five times and nothing had been heard about it until now.
