Veteran actor, Omar Sharif dies aged 83

Doctor Zhivago star, Omar Sharif, has died after suffering a heart attack in hospital in Cairo, aged 83.

Omar Sharif was diagnosed with the Alzheimer disease according to his son, Tarek Sharif in May, 2015.

The 83-year-old Egyptian-born actor, debuted in the 1962 epic, “Lawrence of Arabia” as his first English language film.

“It is difficult to determine what stage, it is now. It is obvious he will never improve and it will get worse”, Steven Kenis, his agent disclosed. Steven, added the actor has no memory of his achievements and essentials details of himself.

Omar Sharif, won two Golden Globe awards and an Oscar nomination for his role as “Sherif Ali” in “Lawrence of Arabia”. He also won a Golden Globe for “Doctor Zhivago”.

Sharif, recently featured in the 2013 French- Moroccan film, “Rock the Casbah” and appeared in the Television series, “The Ten Commandments and The Traveller in the last decade”.

Omar Sharif, has become a Hollywood icon for his featuring in films such as “funny Girl, Juggernaut and Top Secret”.
