Denning Edem Hotor, known in showbiz circles as Edem has indicated that music promoters outside the nation’s capital city, Accra are not professionals.

According to the Koene hit maker, these promoters are people who are well to do and want to use their wealth to push a brand. He believes if the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) introduces the flat rate for musical performances, professional promoters will emerge.

"When MUSIGA sets the rates we will see the emergence of only professional promoters because that is where the problem is. Everybody who is a promoter outside Accra is NOT a professional. It's a group of people who have some money and they think you have a brand name that they want to call to their neighbourhood, organize, put you at a spot and make revenue”, he said in an interview with DJ Advisor on Happy FM.
