Former AIDS ambassador donates to AIDS patients at police hospital

According to the former ambassador, she decided to donate to these AIDS patients because most of them who are on admission at the hospital have been neglected by their relatives – no visits.

Former Ghana AIDS Ambassador, Joyce Mensah, celebrated her birthday last week and she decided to do something special for the AIDS patients at the Police Hospital.

She donated some items including adult diapers, toilet rolls and a bucket of washing powder to the patients.

According to Joyce, she decided to donate to the AIDS patients because most of them who are on admission at the hospital have been neglected by their relatives – no visits.

She also added that sometimes, the nurses have to contribute to buy adult diapers for the patients and they are expensive so it becomes a burden for them.

“What these patients need mostly is adult diapers, which is very expensive. Mostly, nurses have to contribute to buy these items for them which are a huge burden on them so I decided to support them this year, but two years ago, I also donated to Korle-Bu fever Unit”, she told MustaphaInusah.Com.

Mr. Raymond Aholu, an AIDS patient who received the items on behalf of the other AIDS patients at the Hospital, expressed his appreciation to Joyce saying he was happy she had remembered them and prayed to God to give her strength so she will be able to do more for others going through the same situations.
