Marriage has helped my career - Afriyie Acquah

Ghanaian Midfielder Afriyie Acquah has revealed getting married has brought tremendous positive changes in his football career.

 

Black Stars midfielder,EbenezerAfriyie Acquah has revealed that marriage has brought out the best in his football career. The 23- year old got married to his longtime girlfriend Amanda just after the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Acquah and Amanda dated  for the one year before they walked down the aisle in July last year. Acquah, recently signed a four-year-deal with Italian Serie A sideTorino.

In an interview with Allsports.com.gh ,Acquah who had a reputation as a bit of a wild child admitted marriage had changed him immensely.

" Marriage has been good for me and things are going well. When you make the decision to  get married it changes a lot of things for you. In fact it has made me a better footballer because I do not have to worry about a lot of things."

Acquah also revealed in the interview his long held admiration of Manchester City and Ivory Coast star Yahaya Toure and his disappointment with his penalty miss during the final of AFCON 2015 in Equatorial Guinea.
