Reggie Rockstone hits back at critics of Sarkodie’s #NewGuy

The song which features American rapper, Ace Hood has met with mixed reactions since its release last week. While a section of the public believes the song is good, others opine that it was not worth the hype and the long wait.

 

Hiplife grandpapa and a member of music trio VVIP, Reggie Rockstone says “only those who do not know and understand the hip hop genre will say something bad” about Sarkodie’s single.

The song which features American rapper, Ace Hood has been met with mixed reactions since its release last week. While a section of the public believes the song is good, others opine that it was not worth the hype and the long wait.

Controversial comedian and musician, A Plus once remarked that, “Sarkodie is like Lionel Messi. He’s just too good. But you agree that last year Messi had a bad season? Yeah that is what has happened to Sark. The “New Guy” track is just noise. I wonder if environmental protection have heard it. Anyway, It doesn’t take anything away from him. Sark is still a great guy…..”

But Reggie Rockstone has stated that the is a good song.

“Only those who do not know and understand the hip hop genre will say something bad about the track. Sarkodie did not record the track for dancing pleasure so if Ghanaians were expecting an azonto, any other artiste can do the azonto version of it for Ghanaians,” he said on Kessben FM’s .
