Singer accused of sampling latest song "Confusion"

According to some Facebook users, Kuami Eugene’s “Confusion” is a direct sample of Malian Grammy-nominated singer, Sidiki Diabaté’s ‘Fais moi Confiance’ .

The mid-tempo Afrobeats song, which has gathered over 300,000 video views in just 4 days of release, is the topic of discussion on social media after some music lover raised the alarm.

According to some Facebook users, Kuami Eugene’s“Confusion” is a direct sample of Malian Grammy-nominated singer, Sidiki Diabaté’s "Fais moi Confiance" (meaning ‘trust me’).

Even though the songs have different concepts, people are arguing that Kuami Eugene’s version is similar to Sidiki Diabaté’s song which is 2 years old.

So far, the basis of their argument is the rhythm.
