According to Philipa Baafi, she had not regretted her decision because it was inspired by God.

According to her, she had not regretted her decision because it was inspired by God.

Philipa Baafi told Joy News that “God revealed and asked me to give the song to the NPP and I did exactly that. I knew they were already playing it but The NPP approached me and requested  to use it as a campaign song so gave it to them and trust me I got something[money] out of it.”

She stressed: “My song was a hit even before the NPP came into power but I have never regret selling it for it to be used by the NPP between 2007 till now. It is still a hit".

She added that she is not too surprised about the success of the song because it was a fulfillment of divine prophecy.

“I was worshiping one day when God gave me the song. God told me an organization will buy the song and make it a hit,” she revealed.

The song, which was a massive hit in the year 2007 was bought by the then ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and subsequently used as campaign song in the 2008 elections,” she said.
