GRRRL, an exciting all new girl band which includes Ghana’s Wiyaala, have been busy at SARM Studios in West London recording songs for a debut album which insiders reckon will be released in November this year.
“It’s been a crazy few weeks”, says the Upper West songstress, “We have been playing shows all over the UK and have had an amazingly positive reception. This collaboration is like the Spice Girls on steroids but with more pepper!”

The GRRRL project is a UK collaboration of seven talented female musicians from Brazil, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Bangladesh, Venezuela and the United Kingdom brought together by In Place of War and produced by Laima Leyton from Brazil.
After just seven days rehearsal GRRRL, hit the road playing venues and festivals all over the UK attracting great reviews for their exciting performances which are a melting pot of different cultural influences set to a fusion of Dancehall, Hip-hop and Dark Techno beats.
