Rapper 1Cedi launches “Golden Tomorrow” EP

Fast rising Ghanaian rap artiste, 1Cedi has officially launched his much-awaited EP titled

In an exclusive interview with Pulse.com.gh, the bright and breezy talent said ‘nothing can be more compared to wealth than gold’ hence his decision to label the EP as “Golden Tomorrow”.

“Nothing can be more compared to wealth than gold. It is an epitome of riches. Not just riches in monetary wealth, but wealth in joy, wealth in wisdom, good health, prosperity and all the positive things anyone can think of and we all know from the very second a newborn baby sees the sun. It begins the struggle for a brighter and wealthier future.

“It makes sense to just title my EP ‘Golden Tomorrow’ because I know and have faith that my future is made of gold. And so it is for anyone who has that immortal faith in the promise of God because once you have life, there's hope for a better (golden) tomorrow,” he said.

Describing the EP in one word, 1Cedi said it’s a “breakthrough” for him.

1Cedi added that he will go all out to take on the world and show them what he is made of and why I took so long to finally come out.

“Now that the EP is out, I'm going to go all out to take on the world and show them what I'm made of and why I took so long to finally come out. It's time to reveal my true purpose to the world and how I’m changing the world through music. There will be a lot more of international features and (music) videos,” he added.

The 6-track EP was produced by Jaylush Beatz and mastered by veteran producer Appietus. “Golden Tomorrow” features Anne Tello ( USA), Teephlow, Gemini, Torgbe, Kay Dizzle and Quieku Knicklez.

The launch saw performances from both up and coming, and mainstream artistes including King of Accra, Fortune Dane, Teephlow, OBK, Quieku Knicklez, Kay Dizzle, Twimp, Agbeshie, Torgbe, Ntelabi Drilix, Emperaw, Scripcha, Amerado Burner, Vibz Santy, Tee Rhyme, Dyce and Kenzie.
