Jealous man beats wife for every ‘like’ she receives for her posts on Facebook

A 21-year-old woman from Nemby near Asuncion, Uruguay was so brutally assaulted by the jealous husband that she had to go in for reconstructive surgery.

According to the mirror.co.uk, police have revealed that Pedro Heriberto Galeanoreportedly beat Adolfina Camelli Ortigoza for every single Facebook ‘like’ she got for her photos posted, claiming she was In relationships with the friends.

Lawyer for the woman said the 32-year-old husband always became hostile with the wife after every Facebook ‘like’ and punched her leading to disfiguring of her face beyond recognition.

In order not to miss any ‘like’ to the wife’s posts the man took charge of the social media networks posting her photos on her behalf.

Lawyer Arnaldo Martinez said his client’s “mouth was all broken, she was very damaged, her skin was hanging off because of the blows.

"He controlled the victim's social networking sites, he controlled the messages and photos, and for every 'like' she received from her friends, the woman received a beating because he accused her of having a relationship with them."

Mr Martinez added that Pedro Heriberto Galeano "would put a cloth in her mouth so that she would not scream during the brutal beatings that she suffered daily."

Galeano was arrested and by the police and charged with attempted femicide, deprivation of liberty and coercion.

He was arrested after his own father lodged a complaint with the police for fear of seeing her daughter in-law die.

According to the mirror, if found guilty, Pedro Heriberto Galeano may be sentenced to 30 years in prison.
