A Syracuse man was arrested after police say he arranged aâthreesomeâ between a father and 14-year-old son.
The plan was foiled by an FBI agent.
WTENÂ reported that when David Ahearn, 52, drove from his home in Syracuse and arrived at the hotel in Albany, he discovered he was meeting an undercover FBI agent instead of a dad and his son.
The FBI says Ahearn posted an ad on a social networking website seeking âan incestuous encounter with a father and son.â He also offered to travel for the encounter.
Ahearn unknowingly exchanged emails and text messages with a member of the FBIâs Child Exploitation Task Force when he thought he was speaking with the âfather.â During the conversation, the agent offered himself and his imaginary son up as a decoy sexual encounter for the man.
Ahearn reportedly questioned if the offer was real but continued with the deal.
The documents allege Ahearn said he would treat the boy âlike goldâ and make it the most sensual experience. In one of the last documented e-mails, Ahearn allegedly wrote, âI cannot wait for this to happen. You pick the date and place.â
Ahearn faces a federal charge of attempting to entice a minor less than 18. He is expected to appear in court at a later date.
