Shatta had stated in his radio interviews that he will be performing alone since the event was about him and his maiden album.

The artiste who was abroad did not give any hint of his coming prior to the show but joined Shatta Wale midway through the dancehall artiste’s performance for their hit collaboration songs ‘Megye Wo Girl’ and ‘Dancehall Commando’.

Some fans of Shatta Wale had described Sarkodie as a hater because he had posted nothing about the album launch of one of his best friends in Ghana’s music industry.

Sarkodie, dressed in an all-black attire, came on stage unannounced and was met with shouts from the gathering who also sang along and danced their hearts out.

The "After The Storm" album was launched at Independence Square with a musical concert. Entry was free.

Other performers included Duke (D2) and Pope Skinny.
