Glitz Africa Fashion Week, breaking the style barrier like no other

The annual fashion spectacle “is unlike any other fashion event in the country.’’

As its publicity bellowed masses and brought lots of fashion lovers and observers inside Kempinski hotel here in Accra throughout the weekend, 7th-9th October, 2017. The Glitz Africa Fashion Show 2017 was more like a musical on the runway than the traditional fashion shows. Instead of the somber models who strut down the runway during fashion week, prancing their stiff legs, and audience gazing like they whatever is on the run way is awkward, the Glitz Africa model and audience were full of life. They clapped and chant to the designs and the live musicals that were scored with the run way moments.

There were music stars on stage. The Irene Logan performed. She sang to score the bridal moment which was spearheaded by celebrity designer Quophi Akotua.

But the fashion show definitely wouldn’t have enjoyed all these great reviews if not for the topnotch designers that stormed the fashion show with their intriguing designs from Ghana, Africa and the globe as a whole. They were of course the stars of the show getting the applause and flash lights from the audience and camera men.

There was giant white 3d alphabetical abbreviation figure of the fashion show at the forecourt of the venue (G.A.F.W). Most people present were drawn to the art work and preferred taking pictures there than the red-carpet.

Glitz Fashion show was a great party. I guess that ends the fashion show calendar for the year unless some other parties got a higher yard stick.
