Sauté chopped onion and garlic until tender and starting to brown in a large saucepan
Add grinded pepper, tomato puree and stir.
After 6-10 minutes, taste for salt.
Add rosemary, curry powder, nutmeg and chopped onions.
Add corned beef and allow to simmer for 3 minutes.
Peel yam and cut into desirable sizes.
Wash yam, add salt and boil in enough water.
Drain off water when yam is soft and transfer to plate.
Wash cabbage with vinegar and boil for 3-5 minutes.
Pour cabbage into a colander to drain excess water.
Serve yam with corned beef stew and cabbage.
