We are all geared up to say hello to 2016, and along with the bunch of resolutions for the travel junkies it makes sense to have a separate set of travel resolutions. These are a few we listed out...

Plan more short trips and use all your holidays and long weekends

Take a break from everything since they are as important as work. Try not to save up a single day of your vacation quota and use up all of it to travel, travel and travel.

Weekend getaways are great for instant rejuvenation so explore those numerous small places around your city that are just a short drive away.

Not to repeat destinations and avoid typical tourist hotspots

Chuck you favourite vacation spot and make a fresh travel wish list to head out to new and exciting places. Read, chat up with the locals and take out time to wander around aimlessly - you are sure to come across hidden treasures and exciting things to do.

To stay off social media

Don't go completely offline, and use the Internet just for information and communication purposes, but try to enjoy your vacations rather than splashing it for all to see. Try to just disconnect from the world and give your vacation the attention it deserves.

To go for family vacations

Take your parents and grandparents for a surprise outing. Gather your cousins together and choose a destination that is easily accessible and has plenty of activities to do.

It will result in quality time to bond with your family, and you'll create memories to be cherished for a lifetime.

Head solo and try an unplanned trip

While travelling with family and friends is fun, but travelling alone is liberating and enriching in its own way. So take time off from everyone else and plan your own schedule.

If you are up for adventure make last minute plans and set off on an impromptu trip without bookings, no research, no planned itinerary! Just land at the destination and figure things out from there. This might sound a little scary to some, but it might add to the fun.
