Former President Rawlings, his wife, Nana Konadu, and children have, in a statement, sent best wishes to Muslims as they celebrate Eid ul Fitr.
“We congratulate Muslims across the country on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, the period of prayer, sacrifice and soul searching,” the statement said.
“It is with great pleasure that we wish Eid Mubarak to our brothers and sisters on this occasion.
“May the spirit of reconciliation, peace and sacrifice upheld during the holy month extend to the rest of your lives and manifest itself further in the pursuit for peace, unity and development in Ghana.
“We join you in prayers and wish you joyous celebrations,” the statement said.
