Chadian President Visits Mahama To Hold Bilateral Talks

Chadian President, General Idriss Déby Itno is paying a working visit to Ghana to hold discussions with President John Mahama.

President of the Republic of Chad, General Idriss Déby Itno will today pay a working visit to Ghana to hold discussions with President John Dramani Mahama, Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State & Government.

The Chadian president who is also chair of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) is on a follow- up visit after a similar meeting was held between President Mahama and his counterparts from Congo and Equatorial Guinea.

President Déby who is also the Chairperson of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) will also discuss with President Mahama the hosting of a joint-ECOWAS- ECCAS Heads of State & Government Meeting on Boko Haram.

The two countries, Ghana and Chad, will also use today's working visit to hold bilateral discussions on areas of mutual cooperation.
