He made this known during a durbar of police personnel at Wa in the Upper West region on the second day of his official visit to the Upper West Region.

According to IGP Kudalor, the distribution of the uniforms would start from the area.

Mr. Kudalor called on the police administration to be fair and firm in the discharge of its duties before, during, and after the elections.

"The 2016 Election is going to be keenly and fiercely contested by all political parties and as the Institution mandated by the Constitution to maintain law and order, it is incumbent upon us to provide the atmosphere of security to enable them to campaign," he said.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Police service has resolved to embark on an electronic recruitment next week in order to avoid scams associated with recruitment in the service.

With the electronic recruitment, the IGP is optimistic that human influence in the recruitment process will reduce.
