Former President John Rawlings on Saturday stormed the Trade Fair Center in Accra to support his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings who is vying to lead the National Democratic Party (NDP) in the November polls.
Mrs Rawlings broke away from the NDC after she was defeated in the NDC’s presidential primary.
She later formed the NDP in the lead up to the 2012 general elections but she was unable to contest in the polls.
Delegates of her party are currently voting to elect new national officers, as well as to endorse her as the party’s flagbearer.
The party is expected to launch its campaign team for the 2016 elections, as well as unveil their manifesto.
