The meeting was aimed at engaging key stakeholders in the area to find a permanent solution to political tension at Sankore and its surrounding communities since 2007 between the NDC and the NPP.
Information available to Pulse.com.gh has it that confusion rocked the council meeting when some NPP youth at Sankore stormed the Goaso Municipal Assembly Hall and started chanting that without the presence of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asunafo South, Mr Eric Opoku, they would not allow the meeting to proceed.
They said they would not allow one Malam Salia to participate in the meeting.
Malam Salia is accused of being behind the perpetration of violence by NDC supporters in the area.
It took police men to control the aggrieved youth who threatened to teach Malam Salia a lesson.
