Kwesi Nyantakyi revealed he backed Ahmad Ahmad to unseat Issa Hayatou as the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Ahmad Ahmad claimed 33 votes against 20 by the the incumbent Issa Hayatou.

And Kwesi Nyantakyi, who was also elected onto the FIFA Executive Council believes it was time for Hayatou to pave way for a new face to take over.
"It was the time to end an era by ushering in a new administration that can change the face of CAF for the next four years," Nyantakyi said at the GFA secretariat.
