Black Princesses make the shortlist for women’s team of the year

The Ghana u-20 female national team have been nominated alongside Nigera u-20 and South Africa

The U-20 women’s team merited their nomination on the back of a wonderful performance so far in the 2018 u-20 world cup qualifiers.

Speaking to the media, Linear Addy the chairperson of the National Women’s League was elated with the performances exhibited by the youth women’s national teams in the calendar year although they can improve.

"Itshowsthelevel at whichwomenfootballisgrowing in Ghana. There is more room for improvement but I will like to commend the Princesses for their exploits.”

The Black Princesses went past Algeria on 10-0 aggregate and then on beat Kenya on 10-1 aggregate to finally reach the ultimate round.

The Princess will need to play Cameroon to finally reach the 2018 u-20 world cup in France.

Linear Addy did say that the nomination will also motivate the team to beat Cameroon and finally get into the u-20 World cup

“The nomination will serve as a nomination for the Black Princesses to make sure they ride over Cameroon to advance to France 2018.”

The Nigerian counterparts who are as well nominees for the coveted award will face the South African u-20 side.

Both clashes will be played on the 12th and 26th January to determine Africa’s to representatives for the tournament to be held in France
