Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was accidentally confirmed as a new acquisition to Arsenal Football Club at the club’s website on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.

However, the club has officially confirmed the signing a day after posting on their Twitter a video of the African player.
Aubameyang was rumored to be signed for £55 million and a video got accidentally posted on the website.
In the video, Arsene Wenger was being interviewed on the deal and the clip was quickly taken down of the website to save the club some more embarrassment.

The interview had Arsene Wenger being asked the question “Aubameyang is an Arsenal player, you must be delighted to get the deal done?
The Arsenal manager replied by saying "We need people who can give us more offensive power. We aren't efficient enough going forward.
"I'm convinced he will bring usthat. He has a bigchallenge in front of him, he wantstowinthe Premier League.'"
A club statement read on the signing of Aubameyang:
"The 28-year-old has joined us from Borussia Dortmund on a long-term contract for a club-record fee."
The 28 year old scored 31 goals to emerge the 2016/2017 German Bundesliga top scorer with Borussia Dortmund.
He currently follows Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewadowski in the German top flight top scorers chart with 13 goals as the latter leads with 18 goals.
Arsenal suffered a 3-1 defeat to Welsh side Swansea City and will look to respond with a win against Everton with duo Henrikh Mkhitaryan and hopefully Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
