Ghana Defender Philimon Ofosu-Ayeh has become the subject of bids from two unnamed English clubs.

The right-back has been on the books of German third-tier side Eintracht Braunschweig since 2015, but appears to be edging towards the exit door.

The German club had initially wanted to extend Ofosu-Ayeh’s contract – which expires in June – however the former VfR Aalen defender is said to have rejected the deal following a fallout with Braunschweig manager Torsten Lieberknecht.

Reports suggest that an unnamed English side, as well Championship outfit, Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen on signing the 25-year-old, while a move to Union Berlin has also been mooted.

Soon-to-appointed Wolves boss, Nuno Espirito is believed to have identified the Ghana defender as a key part of his future plans, and wants to acquire his signature this summer.

If the move proves successful, Ofosu-Ayeh will battle it out with Dominic Iorfa and Conor Coady for the right-back spot at Wolves.

The 25-year-old was born to a German mother and a Ghanaian father, and has been capped once by the Black Stars.
