FIFA accidentally announce Lionel Messi as 2015 Ballon d’Or winner

Lionel Messi has been announced as the 2015 Ballon d'Or winner according to a mistake on the FIFA website

The main event for announcing the FIFA Ballon d’Or winners is on Monday, January 11, 2016 in Zurich, Switzerland.

But four-time FIFA Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi can keep his cool ahead of the ceremony if a posting on the official website of football’s world governing body is anything to go by.

FIFA accidentally leaked the winners of the 2015 Ballon d’Or winners on their website for a brief moment on Wednesday.

The leak saw Lionel Messi and Celia Sasic claim the top prizes for the 2015 edition of the event.
