Manchester United utility man, Timothy Fosu-Mensah has opened his doors for a future switch to Ghana, after confessing he holds “strong connections” with the West African nation.

Fosu-Mensah joined the English giants from Ajax as a teenager in 2014 under then United boss Luis van Gaal, following some impressive outings in the youth team of the Amsterdam club.
The 19-year-old has subsequently made cameo appearances fro the Red Devils, and played a bit part role as Jose Mourihno’s side won the Community Shield, EFL Cup and the Europa League last season.
The teenager, although born to Ghanaian parents, has played his entire career so far for the Under 15, 16, 17, 19 and 21s of the Netherlands.

Reports in the latter parts of last year suggested that Fosu-Mensah was being courted by the technical handlers of the Black Stars over a possibility of playing for Ghana.
And he utility man has now opened the door for a possible switch after disclosing he still holds strong connections with the West African nation.
He told told KweséESPN: “I am just focused on developing my game and to become a better player so I can help my team. “Both my parents are from Ghana. My brothers are from Ghana.

Fosu-Mensah has made over 20 appearances for Manchester United since 2016, but is yet to be capped at senior level by the Netherlands.
