Ghana plans to host World Cup 2038 and here’s their flagship stadium

Ghana have planned to bid for the 2038 FIFA World Cup as part of a 40-year development plan

Ghana have made it to the FIFA World Cup on three occasions- 2006, 2010 and 2014, but they are yet to organize any international competition.

However, the NDPC, which is responsible for the long-term development of Ghana as part of its 40-year plan has revealed the architectural works place to serve as a guide for Ghana to win the 2038 FIFA bid in the future.

The new stadium called the "Black Star Stadium" will be constructed with the "best 21st Century technology while the roof would be made up of solar panels". The stadium will be connected by to road and rail networks.

The Director-General of the NDPC, Dr Nii Moi Thompson in an interview on Metro TV's Good Evening Ghana program on Tuesday night revealed that the bid is dependent on the country fulfilling other financial and infrastructure targets set in the draft National Development Plan which was handed over to the government last month.
