The Phobians on match day 8 of the 2017 Ghana Premier League piped Kotoko 1-0 to end their eight seasons’ winless streak against their arch-rivals.
Vincent Atingah was the hero for the Phobians as he scored from spot in the 83rd minute.
“We did very well because that coach (Zdravko Loagrisic) I and him have played each other before and I knew his normal team shape. So we managed to adjust and performed better in the second half,” Nuttall said after his side’s 1-0 win.
“It was a difficult game I must admit, we have played three derbies in a week and it is not easy, but my players did very well and they showed mental toughness and at the end we won the game.”
The Phobians have now climbed to the fifth position with 12 points, while Kotoko are second with 17 points.
