Atsu scores debut goal, Hiram Boateng makes Premier League debut and more

Recap of Ghanaian Players Abroad for the weekend's football games

Daniel Amartey missed Leicester City’s superb victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. The Ghanaian is yet to make his debut for the English Premier League leaders after joining from FC Copenhagen in the January transfer window. Jeffrey Schlupp also is out injured and missed the game.

Jordan Ayew and missed the game for his Aston Villa side against Norwich City. The Ghanaian’s team won the game by two goals without reply with Joleon Lescott and Gabriel Agbonlahor scoring the goals.

Andre Ayew played in the entire duration of Swansea City’s game against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Swansea were held at the Liberty Stadium with a 1-1 score line.

In the English Championship, Albert Adomah played 76 minutes for his Middlesbrough side in their 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers.

Godfred Donsah played in the full duration of Boalogna’s Italian Seria A game against Fiorentina. Bologna drew 1-1 at home in the game.

Thomas Teye Partey started the Spanish La LIga game for his Atletico Madrid team against Eibar. Atletico Madrid won the home game by three goals to one. The Ghanaian was replaced by Oliver Torres in the 59th minute of the game.

Wakaso Mubarak played a little under 30 minutes for Las Palmas in the 2-0 loss against Rayo Ballecano in the Spanish La Liga. The Ghanaian midfielder replaced Juan Carlos Valeron in the game.

Christian Atsu scored on his Spanish La Liga debut for Malaga in the game against Getafe on Friday night. The Ghanaian scored the second of three as his Malaga side won by three goals to nil.

Abdul Baba Rahman could only make the bench in the English Premier League on Sunday as his Chelsea team drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge with Manchester United.

Ghana internationals Kevin-Prince Boateng and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played against each other in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.

Agyemang-Badu started the game for his Udinese side with Boateng making a substitute appearance for Milan later in the game. AC Milan and Udinese played out a 1-1 draw game at the San Siro.

Kwadwo Asamoah was ruled out of Juventus’ 2-0 away victory against Frosinone on Sunday with an injury.

Isaac Cofie had to settle for the bench on Sunday as his Carpi side were defeated away at Napoli.

Afriyie Acquah did not play a part in Torino’s 2-1 defeat at home against Chievo Verona.
