Sports Minister snubs Ghana Olympic Committee over lateness

Hon. Isaac Asiamah, the Minister of Youth and Sports left the congress grounds of the Ghana Olympic Committee because the process started late

Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah will not witness the election of the leadership of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), because he left the grounds due to the delay in the start of the congress at the Alisa Hotel on Wednesday.

The Hon. Minister for Youth and Sports was invited to be at the GOC Congress at 9:00 am to deliver the opening address.

He was there at 8:48 am and waited until 9:30am and there was no sign of the Congress starting anytime soon. Mr. Asiamah left and to attend to other appointments. He wished the Ghana Olympic Committee well.

High on the agenda of the Ghana Olympic Committee is the election of members to occupy various position for the next term.

Incumbent GOC President , Prof. Francis Dodoo, will come face to face with Ben Nunoo Mensah, the President of the Ghana Weightlifting Association.
