Veteran forward David Lee said he has not considered asking the Boston Celtics for a trade following his relegation from the bench.

Lee has been a notable absentee from the Celtics' rotation for the past two NBA games after he was left out of the team that lost 99-94 to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old is averaging 15.7 minutes, 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds in 29 games for the Celtics this season.

But Lee, who won the NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors last season, is not seeking an exit, though that could change if his playing time does not increase.

"We'll see moving forward how permanent this is," Lee said.

"Obviously I'm very confident I can help a team win. I'd love for that to be the Boston Celtics. So no, I haven't spoken about that. I haven't really thought about that yet.

"Right now it's about continuing to be ready, and if that was talked about it would be between my agent, the Celtics and other teams."
