Marie-Amelie Le Fur broke yet another world record at the Rio Paralympics, while Ihor Tsvietov set one of his own.

Just days after breaking the world record in the long jump, Le Fur made more history.

The Frenchwoman took out the 400-metre T43/44 final in a stunning 59.27 seconds at the Olympic Stadium.

Le Fur beat Germany's Irmgard Bensusan and American Grace Norman to the gold.

Tsvietov set a world record when he clocked a time of 12.22secs before taking gold in the men's 100m T35 on Friday, and his Games got even better three days later.

After qualifying for the 200m T35 final in 25.64secs on Sunday, the 22-year-old went 0.53secs faster to top the podium for the second time in Rio.

Tsvietov looked in control from the gun, finishing 0.9secs ahead of his closest rival.

Fabio da Silva Bordignon revealed why he fixed his hair for the camera before claiming silver in the men's 200m T35 final: "I am a very vain man. I am a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and want to be like him. I'm always thinking that I must be handsome, because everything is filmed. Winning is important and being handsome to cross the finish line too."

"I should have been better today. I hope I will become a champion and a hero in the future," - Syrian refugee Ibrahim Al Hussein, part of the Independent Paralympic Athletes team, after finishing seventh in his men's 50m freestyle S9 heat.

"I lost the bronze medal, he will earn money from winning it so he has to pay now. Of course he has to. He has just won enough money to pay for the wedding," - Polish fencer Grzegorz Pluta tells future son-in-law and bronze medallist Adrian Castro he will need to pay for his wedding.

American Michael Brannigan eyes gold in the men's 1500m T20 final, while Tatyana McFadden is set to challenge in the women's T54 over the same distance. Meanwhile, Ellie Cole and Michelle Konkoly are set to do battle in the women's 50m freestyle S9.
