US president Barack Obama really likes Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, but is not ready to place him above his beloved Chicago??Bulls idol Michael Jordan.

"Steph Curry is the greatest shooter that I???ve ever seen," Obama said in an interview with Time Magazine. "I am having more fun watching him than anybody since Michael Jordan.

"It's rare where you get somebody who's already at the pinnacle and then they take it a notch higher."

There are some who believe Curry - last year's MVP - is a strong candidate for Most Improved Player this season, and the argument seems valid. He's shattered his own three-point record??and has the Warriors on record pace in 2016.

Even though Obama admires and respects what Curry has done, he is not willing to say the Warriors guard is better than the legendary Jordan.

"Even Steph wouldn't necessarily say he's better than Jordan," Obama added.
