On Sunday 25th March, 2012, Berekum Chelsea became the first club to beat Raja Casablanca of Morocco by 5 unanswered goals in the CAF Champions league history.

The 2011 Ghana league champions,  in their Maiden edition in any African Inter Clubs Competition mesmerized the three times winners of the elite African clubs Championship on Sunday at the Golden City Park in Sunyani.

The strange thing about this game was that all the 5 goals came in the second section of the game.

A second half explosion saw Chelsea score five goals through Solomon Asante, captain Abdul Basit and a hat-trick from striker Emmanuel Clottey to lead the first leg.

Chelsea coach Hans Van der Plyum was thrilled with the score line against the Moroccan side.

The Berekum lads started the competition by beating LISCR of Liberia 5-0 on aggregate at the preliminary stage of the competition, before walloping Raja Club Athletic 5-0 in the first leg and lost 0-3 a fortnight in Casablanca, but qualified 5-3 on aggregate.

They progressed to the group stage after eliminating Cotton Sports Garoua in the second round of the CAF Champions League, where they finished third in a group involving El Ahly, the eventual winners, Enyimba Stars and Zamalek.
