President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has held bilateral talks with the Gambia president, Adama Barrow during which the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepen bilateral and economic relations between their respective countries for the mutual benefit of their citizens.

Nana Addo welcoming Adama Barrow at the Flagstaff House assured him of Ghana’s support in deepening the economic ties between the two countries.
Mr Barrow won the last elections in The Gambia, beating Yahya Jammeh who had ruled the country for 22 years.
Jammeh bowed to pressure from regional leaders who had threatened to use military force if he refused to leave office.
He went into exile in Equatorial Guinea.

Barrow is the third president in the history of the Gambia.
