The New Patriotic Party has alleged that the soft copies of the voters register supplied to them were corrupted files.
The EC asked the various political parties contesting the elections to provide external drives for copies of the register to be saved on it for them.
The parties had previously received hard copies of the register ahead of the elections, but the EC decided to opt for soft copies apparently to cut cost.
But speaking on Neat FM Friday, Mr Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah, the Director of Elections of the NPP said apart from the corrupted files, other documents such as special voting list, proxy list and absentee list were not included.

He said the situation is worrying, considering the December 7 polls are just some few weeks away.
Mr Korsah indicated that he “is a bit jittery and why I’m even jittery is the revelation that we will transmit results electronically when stakeholders do not know of the mode of transmission.”
With some few weeks to the elections, the EC is already engaged in some legal battles with the political parties who were disqualified from contesting the presidential elections due to errors on their forms.
The EC has said that it in spite of the numerous court cases, it still remains poised to organise the elections on December 7.
But Mr Korsah believes that the EC “would have to put itself together and also be less confrontational by finding a way for solving some of these issues.”
Meanwhile, the Deputy Director of Communication at the EC, Mr Yussif Ayuba has told Pulse.com.gh that his outfit is yet to be informed about the issue of corrupted files.
