The Grammy award-winning rapper is now following Shatta Wale on Instagram though they never met during her eventful trip to Ghana. Quizzed on how she got to know about Shatta, Cardi said a hairstylist she had told her about the dancehall act.
Cardi B was speaking during an Instagram live session, where she said “Before I even went to Africa, I have Ghanaian friends, you know what I am saying … My hairstylist she was Ghanaian lady … she told me about Shatta Wale… she said he is like the biggest Ghanaian artiste”.

Cardi B’s comment has since sent a buzz on social media, especially among fans of Shatta Wale who are trumpeting her comment about the “Gringo” singer to prove that he is not just a local star as others perceive him.
