CEPS boss Wallace Akondor sacked

The commissioner of the Customs Excise and Preventive Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority Wallace Kofi Akondor has been fired
 
 

The Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Mr. Wallace Akondor, has been relieved of his position.

A source at the Office of the President told Graphic Online.

Mr. John Vianney, Assistant Commissioner, Import and Export, at the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, has been appointed as the new head.

The source said the Office of the President had formally written to the Commissioner General of the GRA about the development.

The source said the government was bent on ensuring that all loopholes in national revenue generation were sealed.
